What is Autoworld?

Autoworld is a private museum, with a fine selection of amazing, vintage cars. The collection of 250+ European and American automobiles is quite impressive. This museum regularly holds vehicle orientated events all year long so it is likely to find an exposition on your visit. Usually, their website is up to date, so you can find all the info you need there

Is Autoworld a museum only for big car lovers?

Neither I or Alex are big car fans. Of course that we appreciate once in a while a really nice car with a cool design, reliable engine and top features. We like to see old and new car models in business presentations, dedicated museums, exhibitions and parades. Considering this and the fact that it was a rainy day, we actually found this indoor activity quite suitable for us.

We really liked spending about 2 hours there. It was relaxing as there were few visitors at that time and we enjoyed taking pictures without hurrying. I remember quite well that we both found very funny an old vehicle manufactured by De Dion Bouton (Type G). This model launched in 1899 had a steering wheel (sort of) in the middle of the vehicle and it was capable of carrying 4 people at a time, face to face.

What’s the price and where to buy?

You may buy the ticket both directly at the museum or online. Paying online will save you time (avoid waiting in line at the reception) and 1 euro :). When we visited Autoworld, there weren’t  any lines at the ticket office but I assume there may be some busy days/ hours.

The online ticket prices available in August 2017 were:

Adult – €10

Children (6 – 11 years old) – €4

Children under 6 years old – FREE

Student – €7

Groups (more than 15 adults) – €7

Disabled persons – €7

Seniors (more than 65 years old) – €8

Remember that paying directly at the museum will cost you an additional €1/ ticket. If you find some disparity between this article and the available prices, please let me know so I will update them. Thanks!

If you would like to make the museum tour with a guide, it will cost you an additional €85 (max 30 persons with a guide). Remember to book the guide with at least one week before your visit by fax or email. The tour takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What to do after visiting Autoworld?

If you are a little hungry or thirsty, you may want to try the Autoworld Brasserie. It is opened daily from 11:00 to 18:00, except the kitchen (11:30 to 14:00). If you are visiting with a big group, you may need to make an advanced reservation to make sure everybody will have a seat.

Want a special souvenir? Try the Babouin Shop and find yourself a fine scale model or an automotive book. On some events, you may find additional models and books for your hobby.

Both the restaurant and the shop are located inside the museum, right at the entrance.
